Does open profit move the drawdown on Apex Trader Funding's EOD and Intraday Trail Standard ($50K)?

Yes on Apex Trader Funding's $50,000 Intraday Trail Standard: unrealized gains count in the peak that raises the drawdown threshold. EOD Trail Standard sets its threshold from the end-of-day balance instead, so an open-profit high does not itself raise it during the session. On the funded Performance Account (PA), either threshold stops rising at $50,100.

An open profit that disappears before the close

This example is hypothetical. Start each $50,000 Standard evaluation on Tradovate with its initial $48,000 threshold and no earlier high. During one session, open profit reaches $1,500, then the position closes flat before market close. The final balance is $50,000. All values include costs; other account conditions are assumed satisfied.

AccountWhat happens to the overall threshold
EOD Trail StandardThe open-profit high does not raise the threshold. The closing balance is still $50,000, so the threshold for the next session remains $48,000.
Intraday Trail StandardThe peak, including open profit, reaches $51,500. Subtracting the $2,000 trailing allowance raises the threshold to $49,500. It stays there when the profit disappears.

Both examples finish flat with a $50,000 balance. EOD Trail has $2,000 between that balance and its overall threshold; Intraday Trail has $500. Giving back open profit has reduced the latter account's remaining room even though the trade finished without a net loss.

End-of-day updating is not end-of-day enforcement

Both overall limits are enforced in real time. Touching the threshold fails the evaluation or closes the PA. The EOD rule changes when the threshold is set; it does not defer enforcement until the close.

Apex's rules say the evaluation thresholds trail indefinitely on Tradovate. The PA thresholds instead stop at $50,100.

See the two clocks in a trailing-loss rule for the distinction between updating a threshold and testing for a breach.

What is not established

Apex offers Tradovate, Rithmic or WealthCharts as the vendor chosen at checkout. The loss rules specify indefinite evaluation trailing on Tradovate; they do not establish the equivalent evaluation stop behavior on Rithmic or WealthCharts. Confirm the rule for your chosen vendor before applying the indefinite-trailing statement.

The EOD wording also does not name the account value tested against its threshold during the session, beyond stating real-time enforcement. Do not use that omission to assume open positions are excluded.

Loss mechanics
An end-of-day drawdown of $2,000: the threshold is set at each market close from the end-of-day balance and enforced in real time in the next session; touching it fails the evaluation or closes the PA. The evaluation starts at $50,000 with a $48,000 threshold, which on Tradovate trails the peak end-of-day balance indefinitely. On the PA it stops at $50,100.

Loss mechanics
An intraday trailing drawdown of $2,000 below the peak balance, unrealized gains included, enforced in real time; touching it fails the evaluation or closes the PA. The evaluation starts at $50,000 with a $48,000 threshold, which on Tradovate trails indefinitely. On the PA it stops at $50,100.
