Does hitting Tradeify Growth's daily loss limit fail the account ($50K futures)?
Reaching Tradeify Growth's daily loss limit pauses trading until the next session at 6:00 PM ET; it does not by itself fail the account. The starting daily limit is $1,250 in both the $50,000 evaluation and funded account. It is not a hard stop: losses may exceed it before trading pauses. Touching the separate overall max-loss threshold fails the account, whether before or after the daily limit is reached.

The two rules have different consequences
| Rule | What happens |
|---|---|
| Daily loss limit | A soft breach: trading pauses until the next session and the account stays active. It is not a hard stop; losses may exceed it before trading pauses. |
| Overall max loss | A $2,000 end-of-day trailing drawdown, enforced in real time against net liquidation value. Touching the threshold fails the account. |
If a loss runs past the daily limit and reaches the overall threshold, the account fails.
The overall threshold follows the highest end-of-day balance and never moves down. It never locks in the evaluation. On the funded account, it locks at $50,100 when the end-of-day balance reaches $52,100, or at the first payout request.
The overall limit can come first
The amounts below are invented for illustration. Consider a still-valid evaluation with a previous end-of-day high of $51,000. It later closes at $50,000 and starts the next session flat at that value. Assume the $1,250 daily limit applies and all costs are included in the stated values.
The overall threshold remains $49,000: the previous $51,000 high minus $2,000. It does not fall when the closing balance falls. From $50,000, only $1,000 separates the account from that threshold.
A loss of $1,100 would cross the overall threshold before reaching the $1,250 daily limit. The account fails at the first touch of $49,000. The daily pause cannot preserve an account that has already failed its overall rule.
What is not established
The recorded rule says the daily allowance rises to $2,000 from the next session once the account is 6% in profit, but does not specify which stages qualify. It also does not say how open positions count in the daily-loss calculation. Confirm both with Tradeify before relying on either.
The overall rule does specify real-time enforcement against net liquidation value. For the distinction between a pause and account failure, see what happens when a daily limit is reached.
The evidence
| Rule | What the terms say | Checked |
|---|---|---|
| Daily loss and contract limits | A daily loss limit of $1,250 in the evaluation and the funded account, a soft breach: trading pauses until the next session (6:00 PM ET) and the account stays active. It is not a hard stop: losses may exceed it before trading pauses. Once the account is 6% in profit, it rises to $2,000 from the next session. Up to 4 minis / 40 micros. | 31 October 2026 |
| Loss mechanics | An end-of-day trailing max drawdown of $2,000: it trails the highest end-of-day balance, never moves down, and is enforced in real time against net liquidation value; touching it fails the account. On the funded account it locks at $50,100 once the end-of-day balance reaches $52,100, or at the first payout request; it never locks on the evaluation. | 17 October 2026 |
