Should Your The5ers Hub Credit Decide Your Next Purchase?

Expiring Hub credit can be a good reason to use an account you might otherwise skip, especially if you can obtain it without adding cash. The decision changes when redemption requires a payment from you, or when another payment comes later in the program.

Consider a hypothetical situation: an earlier High Stakes evaluation has ended, but you still have available bonus credit earned by passing its steps. Your next purchase need not automatically repeat that account's program or size. Start with what the credit can buy, when it expires and what cash you would still need.

Check the expiry and redemption terms

If your credit came from a High Stakes New $100,000 account, its fee-refund rule reads:

Hub credit of 10% of the fee on passing step 1 and 20% on passing step 2; Hub credit can only be used toward a new challenge and cannot be withdrawn. Hub credit is valid for 3 months from the date it is granted and cannot be combined with promotional codes or discount coupons; if it does not cover the full price, the remaining balance is paid with your preferred payment method and must be at least $12. On the funded account, 70% of the part of the fee paid with your original payment method (not Hub credit) is added to equity and can be withdrawn with the first payout, once the account has made at least $150 profit and been active for 14 days.

If your credit covers the whole purchase price, there is nothing left to pay at checkout. If it covers only part, you pay the rest yourself, and that cash top-up must meet the minimum in the rule above.

Leaving a balance unused until it expires loses its purchasing value. Check the deadlines for your available credits before deciding to save them for another attempt.

If you have a promotional code or coupon available, you choose between using it and using Hub credit. You cannot apply both to the same purchase.

Look across programs and sizes

The5ers' Hub Credits FAQ says traders in an eligible region can use the credits toward new challenges. The firm's CFD/FX choices include High Stakes in different sizes, Growth, including Hyper Growth and Pro Growth, and Bootcamp. Compare the eligible choices shown in your Hub instead of starting with another large High Stakes account.

A smaller account or a different program may fit both your credit balance and your trading. Check at checkout that the program and size you want accept the credit. Use the account-comparison guide to test whether its rules fit what you intend to trade.

Also distinguish covering entry from covering the whole route. For example, Bootcamp's $20,000 account has this activation fee after passing:

$50

Covering the entry payment leaves that later charge to pay. Before choosing Bootcamp, check whether credit can pay the activation fee and how much cash you would still need. The completion-time study's staged-payment section explains why the second payment belongs in the purchase decision.

When credit can cover the entire purchase

If your credit covers the whole price of a suitable account and is nearing expiry, you can start without adding cash. If you have time to use the account, this is a much stronger case for redemption than a discount that requires fresh spending.

Your practical choice may be to use the expiring balance for a useful attempt or lose that opportunity altogether. You do not need to insist that you would have bought the account with cash anyway. A chance to try a suitable smaller account or another program can have value on its own.

With a usable account and any later charges accounted for, redeeming otherwise expiring credit can be a straightforward decision. If your balance exceeds the purchase price, check what remains in your Hub afterward.

When you still need to add cash

Judge the top-up as a new spending decision. Compare other eligible purchases before adding money simply to use the balance. If none suits your trading or budget, letting the credit expire can still be preferable to committing cash you did not want to spend. Buying at another firm requires funding that purchase separately.

Refund terms also depend on the account you choose. In the High Stakes rule above, only the externally paid portion contributes to the conditional funded-stage refund. A purchase paid entirely with credit has no externally paid portion to refund. With a mixed payment, the smaller refund base accompanies the lower cash outlay. This High Stakes rule is not a refund promise for Growth or Bootcamp.

The fee-refund Answer explains the calculation and the separate uncertainty about the base for future step bonuses. Keep those hoped-for recoveries out of the cash available for today's purchase.

PFW's view: expiry and the ability to redeem without adding cash can legitimately change your choice. Look across eligible programs, confirm what you must pay now and later, and distinguish using a balance that would otherwise lapse from spending extra money to rescue it.
