When can I request the first payout on Apex Trader Funding's EOD and Intraday Trail accounts?

On Apex Trader Funding's simulated EOD Trail and Intraday Trail Performance Accounts (PAs), a first payout request needs five qualifying trading days, the consistency requirement and enough balance above the lifetime safety net for a request of at least $500. There is no calendar wait. Qualifying-day amounts depend on the trail and account size; first-request caps depend on size.

Which days and profits count?

The five days need not be consecutive. Each must reach the net-profit minimum in the table; a smaller profitable day does not count. There is no deadline to complete them. The same payout rules apply to Standard and No Activation Fee, so those variants share the rows below.

Apex's written consistency rule says no single profitable day may be 50% or more of net profit since the last approved payout. That wording requires the day to be below 50%; the article's example accepts exactly 50%. The disagreement matters at that boundary. Falling short of the consistency requirement prevents a request but leaves the PA open.

The denominator is net profit, so losses matter to the calculation. See why the consistency denominator matters and which profitable days count.

By size

Qualifying-day profit

The daily minimum depends on both the trail and the account size. These amounts apply to Standard and No Activation Fee.

Trail and account sizeNet profit per qualifying day
EOD Trail $25,000At least $100
EOD Trail $50,000At least $250
EOD Trail $100,000At least $300
EOD Trail $150,000At least $350
Intraday Trail $25,000At least $100
Intraday Trail $50,000At least $200
Intraday Trail $100,000At least $250
Intraday Trail $150,000At least $300

Balances and first-request caps

These amounts are the same for both trails and both activation-fee variants at each size. The safety net is the balance that must remain for the life of the PA; only profit above it can be withdrawn. The balance shown for the $500 minimum request does not make the full first-request cap available.

Account sizeSafety net and first request, both trails
$25,000Safety net $26,100; balance for a $500 request $26,600; first-request cap $1,000.
$50,000Safety net $52,100; balance for a $500 request $52,600; first-request cap $1,500.
$100,000Safety net $103,100; balance for a $500 request $103,600; first-request cap $2,000.
$150,000Safety net $154,100; balance for a $500 request $154,600; first-request cap $2,500.

The trader's share is 100% of each approved PA payout. For the $25,000 accounts, the $1,000 cap applies to every payout. Larger sizes have schedules that change with the payout number, and the later schedules differ between EOD Trail and Intraday Trail. The PA closes after its sixth payout.

What happens at the request?

On Tradovate, the account must be flat to request. While the request is pending, trade as though the requested amount has already been deducted. A balance below the required threshold cancels the request.

The safety net stays in place. After each approved payout, the consistency count and five qualifying days start again. Eligibility to request comes before review and payment; see the stages of a payout.

What is not established

Apex's written rule excludes a day at exactly 50% of net profit, while its example accepts it. The reviewed evidence does not resolve that difference. Confirm the equality case with Apex before relying on a request whose largest day is exactly 50%.
