Same Firm, Different Market: The5ers in CFDs and Futures
Knowing The5ers' CFD rules gives you a starting point, but these futures accounts require a fresh decision about holding time, platform and how you earn qualifying profit. The selected High Stakes account permits a weekend hold that neither futures alternative examined here allows.

Start with High Stakes New, $100,000 in CFD/FX, then consider Day Trade, $50,000 and Swing, $50,000. The sizes differ, so this post compares rules, not amounts. Follow a hypothetical manual trader's routine across the markets.
CFD/FX: establish what your routine relies on
Suppose you sometimes keep a position open from Friday until Monday. High Stakes New permits that hold:
Overnight and weekend holding is allowed. Accounts expire after 30 days without activity.
This applies in evaluation and funded trading. The conditions warn that indices held over the weekend carry a high swap. Permission preserves the holding period; the holding guide explains the separate financing and loss-rule exposure.
The CFD platform choices are:
MetaTrader 5, cTrader ($10 extra) and TradingView outside the US; TradingView only for US clients. The choice is final once bought.
The evaluation needs a minimum number of profitable days in each step:
At least 3 profitable days in each step, each with profit of at least 0.5% of the initial balance ($500). No time limit.
At payout, the requirement changes:
No consistency rule and no separate profitable-day requirement for payouts. The 3 profitable days apply to scaling.
A concentrated result therefore faces no funded consistency test on this account.
News trading has a separate restriction:
Holding positions through news is allowed. Opening or closing trades within 2 minutes before or after high-impact news is not. Profits of such trades are not taken into account.
Futures: Day Trade and Swing change the holding decision
Day Trade combines news permission with a required session exit:
News trading is allowed. Positions must be closed 10 minutes before the market close and cannot be held over the weekend.
Overnight holding is prohibited in both evaluation and funded trading. Every position must close before the cutoff, on weekdays as well as Fridays. The futures holding guide explains how the product and exchange calendar determine the relevant market close.
The5ers' other futures program, Swing, handles holding differently:
News trading is allowed. Up to 1 mini or 10 micros may be held overnight; larger positions must close 10 minutes before the market close, and nothing may be held over the weekend.
This applies in both stages. Swing can accommodate a limited weekday overnight position, but neither account preserves the hypothetical Friday-to-Monday trade. Its overnight allowance must also fit your intended position size.
News permission is looser on both futures accounts, allowing the news trading that High Stakes New restricts.
Futures: rebuild the order routine
The5ers' futures platform list, shown on both accounts' pages:
BlackArrow only.
The futures and CFD lists share no platform. You must rebuild a CFD-platform routine in another application, including charts, order templates and any indicators you need. PFW's platform workflow check lists what to test before buying.
Position sizing needs its own check: lots and futures contracts are different units. Copying a familiar quantity into the new order ticket can change the exposure.
Futures: spread profit across individual trades
Both futures accounts apply a best-trade concentration rule during evaluation and for funded payouts:
| Account and stage | Rule |
|---|---|
| Day Trade, $50,000: evaluation | No time limit, and the evaluation can be passed in one trading day, subject to the 40% consistency rule. An evaluation account with no trade for 14 calendar days is terminated. |
| Swing, $50,000: evaluation | No time limit, and the evaluation can be passed in one trading day, subject to the 40% consistency rule. An evaluation account with no trade for 14 calendar days is terminated. |
| Day Trade, $50,000: funded payouts | The best trade's share of total profit is limited to 40%; above it, keep trading until the share comes down. |
| Swing, $50,000: funded payouts | The best trade's share of total profit is limited to 40%; above it, keep trading until the share comes down. |
High Stakes New's evaluation counts profitable days. Here, your best trade's share of the profit matters, from evaluation through payout. A routine built on a few large winners must satisfy that test, even when all trading fits within a session. The futures evaluation also has a shorter inactivity limit than the one in High Stakes New's holding rule above.
Futures: separate qualifying profit from the payout
| Account and payout rule | Value |
|---|---|
| Day Trade, $50,000: minimum and cap | A payout needs at least 4% profit on the initial balance ($2,000). Each payout is capped at 3% of the initial balance ($1,500). |
| Swing, $50,000: minimum and cap | A payout needs at least 4% profit on the initial balance ($2,000). Each payout is capped at 3% of the initial balance ($1,500). |
| Day Trade, $50,000: processing time | No futures-specific processing time is published. The CFD estimates are not assumed to apply. (partly unknown) |
| Swing, $50,000: processing time | No futures-specific processing time is published. The CFD estimates are not assumed to apply. (partly unknown) |
On both accounts, the cap is smaller than the profit a payout requires, so the first request cannot take all of it. PFW's payout-cap study works this through for both accounts.
Both processing rows are Partly unknown. If timing matters to your decision, ask specifically about futures request review and payment processing. A previous CFD payout or a CFD processing estimate does not answer that question.
Let the required trade decide what to check next
The weekend holder must change the holding period on either reviewed futures account. The weekday overnight trader can consider Swing within its position allowance. The session closer can focus on rebuilding the platform workflow and meeting the evaluation and payout conditions.
Use the Day Trade and Swing comparison to inspect the futures alternatives. Before carrying a position, also compare the CFD/FX loss rules and futures loss rules.
