E8 Markets vs Propr: Perpetual Prop Accounts Compared
E8 One, E8 Pro and Propr Classic 1-Step place different constraints on the same trading plan, even though all three provide simulated perpetual accounts. E8 One moves its overall loss threshold as closed profits establish new highs. E8 Pro keeps that threshold fixed until the first payout, but removes profit above its daily cap. Propr Classic combines a static overall threshold with a daily allowance that changes with the day's opening balance. Their withdrawal rules then leave different accounts to trade next.

This comparison follows the selected accounts from purchase through evaluation, funded trading and payout. It keeps opening allowance, current buffer and cash received separate. A larger allowance or a more frequent request window answers only part of the choice.
Which accounts are being compared?
The selected sizes are $100,000 for E8 One and E8 Pro, and 100,000 USDC for Propr Classic 1-Step. These are account denominations, not deposits you own or amounts you can withdraw. Each E8 row uses its reviewed standard checkout configuration. Propr's row is Classic 1-Step, not its Pro 1-Step, Turbo 1-Step or Classic 2-Step alternatives.
| Account | Selected route and configuration |
|---|---|
| E8 One | E8 One $100,000, Perpetual market, at the checkout's standard settings (6% dynamic drawdown, 80% payout): one SimFi Challenge phase, then a simulated SimFi Performance account. Traded on E8 Terminal only. |
| E8 Pro | E8 Pro $100,000, Perpetual market, at the checkout's standard settings (8% static drawdown, 80% payout): one SimFi Challenge phase, then a simulated SimFi Performance account. Traded on E8 Terminal only. |
| Propr Classic 1-Step | Classic 1-Step 100,000 USDC (the Gold size): one evaluation, then a simulated funded account with the same starting balance. Traded on Propr's terminal or through its API. |
The same nominal tier lets us compare three single-evaluation routes while keeping the denomination visible. It does not make USD and USDC interchangeable. The E8 pair also matters: comparing only One with Propr would hide the different loss and payout model available within E8 itself. Other sizes, options and Propr routes need their own comparison.
E8's general One help page illustrates a different preset from the checkout configuration reviewed here. Use the selected account record and its conditions for the amounts, rather than combining a headline example with another configuration's price. The custom-account documentation explains how changing the drawdown selection also changes related targets and daily limits.
What do the entry price and target buy?
| Measure | E8 One | E8 Pro | Propr Classic 1-Step |
|---|---|---|---|
| List price and billing | $488 one-time | $488 one-time | $999 one-time |
| Opening loss allowance | $6,000 | $8,000 | 6,000 USDC |
| Profit target | 9% | 8% | 10% |
| Difficulty ratio | 1.50 | 1.00 | 1.667 |
| Fee per $1,000 of opening risk | $81.33 | $61.00 | $166.50 |
| Fee refund with a reward | None: E8 does not refund the fee with the first payout at present. | None: E8 does not refund the fee with the first payout at present. | None: the evaluation fee is a one-time, non-refundable fee. |
| Cancellation refund | Sources differ. E8's refund policy: the fee can be refunded, to the original payment method, for an account still in phase 1 with no trading activity and no more than 30 days old, though not when paid in cryptocurrency. Its terms of service: all fees are non-refundable under any circumstance. | Sources differ. E8's refund policy: the fee can be refunded, to the original payment method, for an account still in phase 1 with no trading activity and no more than 30 days old, though not when paid in cryptocurrency. Its terms of service: all fees are non-refundable under any circumstance. | None: evaluation fees are non-refundable once the account is activated, and cancelling the account gives no refund. |
Opening loss allowance measures the initial room under the overall loss rule. Difficulty ratio adds each required phase's profit target divided by that phase's opening allowance. Neither includes the full path of daily losses, profit caps or later withdrawals. The Difficulty ratio explanation shows why a lower ratio alone cannot establish which account is easier for your method.
The target's measurement also differs. E8's selected targets use closed profit. Propr's target uses equity, so floating profit counts. E8 Pro additionally limits the profit recognized in a day; its target percentage therefore needs to be read with the daily-cap rule under payout conditions, which applies during evaluation too.
Fee per $1,000 of opening risk uses the defined base cost of a thirty-day attempt. It excludes trading fees, funding and unverified final buyer charges. Propr's USD comparison figure uses PFW's disclosed USDC conversion convention; open its calculation for the rate and check time. That conversion is not an executable sale price or a promise about payout proceeds. The currency guide explains the separate receipt question.
A temporary offer, when shown, is a separate purchase condition. None of the three records returns the entry fee with a payout. On cancellation, E8's refund policy and its terms of service differ, and Propr's fee is non-refundable once the account is activated, so do not count on getting the fee back.
What is simulated, and what reaches the market?
| Account | Trading environment |
|---|---|
| E8 One | Simulated in both stages: the Challenge and the Performance account trade simulated capital on E8 Terminal, with prices, spreads and funding from the Hyperliquid data feed in real time. No real funds are deployed on your behalf at any point, and no actual trades are executed. |
| E8 Pro | Simulated in both stages: the Challenge and the Performance account trade simulated capital on E8 Terminal, with prices, spreads and funding from the Hyperliquid data feed in real time. No real funds are deployed on your behalf at any point, and no actual trades are executed. |
| Propr Classic 1-Step | Simulated in both stages: every trade runs on a simulated account and is submitted as a signal. Propr decides, trade by trade, whether to copy it to Hyperliquid at its own risk (labelled A-book, on-chain) or record it internally (B-book), with the same result for you; a copied position belongs to Propr. |
E8 uses Hyperliquid's data to reproduce market conditions. Propr may copy a signal to Hyperliquid with its own capital or record it internally, with the same result for your account. A copied position is Propr's; your account stays simulated either way. An on-chain position associated with a signal does not make the displayed account balance your wallet balance.
The distinction matters when choosing a platform or interpreting execution claims. Read the simulation and replication explanation before treating a venue feed, an on-chain label or the word "funded" as proof that you control live capital.
How do profits and daily resets change the loss room?
| Account | Overall and daily loss rules, both stages |
|---|---|
| E8 One | A dynamic drawdown of $6,000 below the highest closed balance: the loss level rises only when a profit is closed, never with open profit, and locks for good at the initial balance once the closed profit reaches $6,000. A daily drawdown of $4,000: each day at 00:00 server time (UTC+3, UTC+2 from early November) the loss level is the day's starting balance less $4,000. Both stages. Equity or balance reaching or falling below either level permanently closes the account. |
| E8 Pro | A static drawdown of $8,000 below the initial balance: the loss level never moves, except that the first payout moves it up to the initial balance for good. A daily drawdown of $2,500: each day at 00:00 server time (UTC+3, UTC+2 from early November) the loss level is the day's starting balance less $2,500. Both stages. Equity or balance reaching or falling below either level permanently closes the account. |
| Propr Classic 1-Step | Maximum drawdown 6% static: the equity limit is 94,000 USDC, set at the start and never moving. Maximum daily loss 3% of the start-of-day balance, reset at 00:00 UTC: the day's equity floor is that balance less 3%. Both limits are on equity, including floating profit and loss, in both stages; touching either breaches the account for good and closes its positions. |
For E8 One, closing a gain at a new highest balance can raise the overall threshold until its lock is reached. Before that lock, the higher balance and higher threshold rise together. Giving back the gain later therefore leaves less room than the account had before that high was set. A gain that merely recovers an earlier loss without setting a new high does not raise the threshold. Open profit does not raise this closed-balance reference, although open losses still affect the breach test.
For E8 Pro, gains initially build room above a fixed overall threshold. That description stops being sufficient at the first payout, when the threshold changes. For Propr Classic 1-Step, the overall threshold remains anchored to the starting balance; its static model should not be confused with Propr's trailing Classic 2-Step route.
The daily rules make a second distinction. E8 subtracts a fixed amount based on initial balance from each new day's opening balance. Propr applies its daily percentage to that day's opening balance, so the daily allowance itself grows after realized gains and shrinks after realized losses. Both can therefore start a new day with a different threshold before any new trade, whenever the previous day's closed results changed the balance.
Compare the clocks as well as the formulas: E8 uses its server rollover, while Propr uses UTC. Match each reset to your own trading hours and open positions; do not silently give both firms the same midnight. The overnight reset example explains why an unchanged position can face a different boundary after rollover.
At any checkpoint, work out the remaining distance to both the daily and overall thresholds. The smaller distance is the binding loss constraint. For E8, test both balance and equity as its record requires; for Propr, test equity. In these records, touching the applicable boundary is already a hard breach. Waiting for the position to close, or for the balance to recover afterward, does not reverse it.
How do trading fees and funding affect the account?
The purchase price pays for access. Trading fees and periodic funding affect the account while you use it. Keep all three ledgers separate.
| Account | Trading fees |
|---|---|
| E8 One | A percentage of each position's notional value: on crypto perpetuals 0.045% for taker (market) orders and 0.015% for maker (limit) orders, which E8 says are exactly Hyperliquid's fees; on stocks, indices, gold, oil and other traditional instruments 0.009% taker and 0.003% maker. |
| E8 Pro | A percentage of each position's notional value: on crypto perpetuals 0.045% for taker (market) orders and 0.015% for maker (limit) orders, which E8 says are exactly Hyperliquid's fees; on stocks, indices, gold, oil and other traditional instruments 0.009% taker and 0.003% maker. |
| Propr Classic 1-Step | Hyperliquid's maker and taker fees, passed through at cost without markup; the asset list gives them per asset, such as 0.015% maker and 0.045% taker on BTC and ETH, and 0.003% maker and 0.009% taker on equities, indices and gold. They are deducted from the balance and count toward profit and loss, and so toward the equity limits. |
| Account | Funding treatment |
|---|---|
| E8 One | Funding rates apply on all Hyperliquid assets, like swap fees, and behave as they would in a live environment. E8 Terminal shows each instrument's funding rate with a countdown, and a funding history for the account. |
| E8 Pro | Funding rates apply on all Hyperliquid assets, like swap fees, and behave as they would in a live environment. E8 Terminal shows each instrument's funding rate with a countdown, and a funding history for the account. |
| Propr Classic 1-Step | Hyperliquid's periodic funding rates are deducted or credited to the account automatically, and their effect is included in equity. |
A notional-based fee depends on the position's exposure, not just its margin. Repeated entries and exits can therefore consume loss room even when the purchase fee was paid once. The execution-cost guide explains why spread, fills and commissions need separate checks.
Propr explicitly includes funding in equity, and its target and loss tests use that equity. Holding the current thresholds fixed, a funding debit can move the account closer to a breach or farther from the evaluation target without an adverse price move; a credit moves those distances the other way. The Propr funding answer shows those entries against both limits. Propr's rulebook does not say which comes first when a funding entry and the 00:00 UTC balance snapshot coincide; the funding guide explains how that order changes the day's limit.
E8's record establishes funding and the terminal's history, but does not establish a complete posting and reset sequence. Do not substitute Hyperliquid's venue mechanics for an unverified E8 account rule. Before carrying a position near a boundary, reconcile the posted charge, the balance or equity used, and the threshold after any reset. The funding and loss-limit explanation shows why the sequence matters.
Does the permitted position fit the loss limits?
| Account | Leverage, position constraints and enforcement |
|---|---|
| E8 One | Leverage: Bitcoin and Ethereum 1:15, other crypto 1:2, stocks 1:5, indices, metals and energy 1:15, forex 1:25. Netting only: an opposite position of the same size closes the first. Position limits for Hyperliquid instruments on E8 Terminal differ from E8's other platforms. When the account breaches a loss level, the system closes its positions automatically. |
| E8 Pro | Leverage: Bitcoin and Ethereum 1:15, other crypto 1:2, stocks 1:5, indices, metals and energy 1:15, forex 1:25. Netting only: an opposite position of the same size closes the first. Position limits for Hyperliquid instruments on E8 Terminal differ from E8's other platforms. When the account breaches a loss level, the system closes its positions automatically. |
| Propr Classic 1-Step | Leverage, applied automatically: BTC, ETH and SOL 10x, other crypto 2x, equities 4x, the SP500 and XYZ100 indices 10x, other indices 5x, gold, silver, CL and Brent 8x, other commodities 5x, FX 25x. The rulebook's summary box and the homepage give 5x for BTC and ETH (major crypto). Each asset has a maximum notional on the asset list (BTC $1,000,000), and Propr may ask you to reduce a position far above its open-interest threshold. A breach closes all open positions. |
A leverage ceiling describes permitted exposure, not the amount the account can lose. A position can reach a prop loss boundary before any separate liquidation condition. Use the position's notional and price sensitivity with the remaining daily and overall room, rather than sizing from the headline account label.
E8's netting system also matters if your workflow expects simultaneous opposing positions in one symbol: an equal opposite order closes the existing position. Propr's record retains differing leverage wording between its detailed list and summary. That discrepancy needs resolution for the intended instrument; choosing the larger number is not a supported position-sizing decision. The leverage and margin guide separates those checks.
Can the same method continue in the funded stage?
| Account | News trading by stage |
|---|---|
| E8 One | Challenge: news can be traded without restrictions. Performance account: no opening or closing of trades, and no stop loss, take profit or stop orders, from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after high-impact news; profits made may be removed. |
| E8 Pro | News can be traded without restrictions in both stages; E8 recommends avoiding high-impact releases because of slippage. E8 Pro's article says this of "E8 pro Forex" and that its trading rules are the same in both markets. |
| Propr Classic 1-Step | None: news can be traded in both stages. |
E8 One changes the news-trading conditions after evaluation. A method that routinely enters, exits or triggers protective orders around scheduled releases therefore needs a funded-stage check before purchase. E8 Pro's recorded permission retains PFW's interpretation of wording that names Forex while saying the trading rules apply across both markets. Keep that qualification attached to the perpetuals conclusion. Propr's news permission does not remove its prohibited-conduct rules.
| Account | Overnight and weekend holding |
|---|---|
| E8 One | Allowed in both stages: positions can be held overnight and over the weekend. Gaps, slippage or widened spreads that cause a violation are the trader's responsibility. |
| E8 Pro | Allowed in both stages: positions can be held overnight and over the weekend. Gaps, slippage or widened spreads that cause a violation are the trader's responsibility. |
| Propr Classic 1-Step | Allowed: no overnight or weekend holding restriction; crypto markets trade 24/7. |
All three records allow holding, but permission does not remove funding, reset events, instrument trading hours or loss enforcement. The E8 overnight-holding answer identifies the practical checks for the selected One account.
| Account | Automation and own-account copying |
|---|---|
| E8 One | Sources differ on automated trading. E8's help centre allows any expert advisor as long as multiple users do not run the same trades or strategy (one strategy per user); its terms of service invalidate data generated through automation and forbid bots and automation software on the platform. Copying trades between your own accounts is allowed in both stages, as long as every account belongs to you alone; hedging across accounts is prohibited. |
| E8 Pro | Sources differ on automated trading. |
| Propr Classic 1-Step | Automated trading and bots are allowed; the terms say a bot strategy identical to other users' or an off-the-shelf bot without individual customisation may be flagged as coordinated trading, while the FAQ says off-the-shelf systems are permitted. Copying between your own Propr accounts: sources differ for the evaluation (the rulebook permits it, the evaluation terms forbid mirror trades across your own accounts); the funded terms do not forbid it. Hedging across accounts is prohibited. |
Automation and copying your own trades are separate questions. E8's automation record preserves a difference between its help and terms. Propr's record distinguishes permitted automation from restrictions on shared bot behavior, and preserves conflicting own-account copying wording for evaluation. The presence of an API does not settle every strategy permission.
For Propr, the evaluation terms also state that their main text prevails over referenced documents. Its annex prohibits mirror trades across accounts you control, while the rulebook permits own-account copying. That document relationship must be part of any clarification; the reviewed record has not established that the rulebook supplies an applicable exception. Ask about the exact stage, account arrangement and strategy, rather than requesting a generic "bots allowed" answer.
These permissions sit alongside each firm's prohibited-conduct record: E8 One, E8 Pro and Propr Classic. A permitted order type does not authorize cross-account hedging, coordinated trading or manipulation.
What must happen before profit becomes a payout?
| Measure | E8 One | E8 Pro | Propr Classic 1-Step |
|---|---|---|---|
| Initial profit share | 80% | 80% | 80% |
| Account | Funded consistency and recognized profit |
|---|---|
| E8 One | 40% best day rule in the Performance stage: no single day's profit may exceed 40% of the total profit for the payout period. A larger day does not fail the account; trading continues until the total is large enough. The Challenge has no consistency rule. |
| E8 Pro | No consistency rule. A daily profit cap in both stages: profit above 2% of the initial balance in a day is removed from the balance at the next rollover (00:00-01:00 server time) and does not count. |
| Propr Classic 1-Step | None: no consistency rule and no minimum trading days. |
E8 One's best-day condition affects eligibility: a concentrated profit day can require more total profit before requesting. It does not itself end the account. E8 Pro's daily cap instead removes excess profit at rollover in both stages. More trading on later days cannot bring that removed amount back into recognized profit. Propr's record has neither a funded consistency requirement nor minimum trading days; its payout prerequisites still apply.
| Account | First and later request conditions |
|---|---|
| E8 One | No fixed wait: payouts can be requested daily or at any time in the Performance stage once the 40% best day rule is met, which makes 3 days the earliest first payout. E8 says this is not a separate waiting rule. |
| E8 Pro | Daily: a payout can be requested every day, the first one from the start of the Performance stage, as long as profit since the last payout is at least 1% of the initial balance. |
| Propr Classic 1-Step | On demand at any time, with no minimum waiting period and no limit on the number of requests, once KYC is complete. |
| Account | Payout minimums and limits |
|---|---|
| E8 One | Net profit must be greater than 50% of the daily drawdown ($4,000 on this account). The smallest payout is $100 of your share ($125 requested at 80%). No payout cap. |
| E8 Pro | Profit since the last payout must be at least 1% of the initial balance. Only 50% of total profit can be requested, and your share is paid from that; the rest stays in the account as a buffer. The smallest payout is $100 of your share ($125 requested at 80%). No payout caps. |
| Propr Classic 1-Step | Minimum 20 USDC. Each payout is 80% of the balance above the starting balance, all of it at once: no partial withdrawals. No profit cap. |
E8 One's earliest request follows from the profit-distribution condition, rather than an additional waiting period. E8 Pro permits frequent requests but first restricts the portion of profit available to request, then applies the selected share. Propr requires a full sweep of available profit rather than allowing you to choose a partial withdrawal.
Those are different constraints. A request frequency describes when you may ask; it does not identify the amount paid or the account left afterward. Read why calculation order changes the amount before applying a headline profit share to the whole balance increase.
What account remains after the withdrawal?
| Account | Account state after a payout |
|---|---|
| E8 One | The payout is deducted from the balance, but the dynamic drawdown's loss level does not reset, so a buffer has to be left to keep the account; the daily drawdown is then calculated from the new balance. |
| E8 Pro | At the first payout the static drawdown's loss level moves up to the initial balance and stays there. Of the profit requested, 50% is paid out at your share and 50% stays in the account as a drawdown buffer; the daily drawdown is then calculated from the new balance. |
| Propr Classic 1-Step | Each payout sweeps all profit above the starting balance: the balance resets to the starting balance, and the drawdown limits reset with it. All positions must be closed first. |
For E8 One, the payout reduces balance without moving the overall threshold back down. The same request leaves different remaining room depending on how far the closed-balance trail has already advanced. Once the threshold is locked at the starting balance, returning the account exactly to that balance reaches the breach boundary.
For E8 Pro, the first payout moves the overall threshold to the starting balance. Its retained profit then supplies the buffer above that threshold. The requested portion and your cash share are separate: the firm's share of the requested portion is not retained as extra trading room. The official payout example distinguishes those amounts and says retained buffer participates in later total profit. E8 One uses a different consistency window: its best-day rule resets the current best day and current performance at a payout request and excludes previously retained profit from the new cycle's consistency calculation.
Propr Classic sweeps the profit, returns balance to the starting amount and resets the limits. Unlike E8 Pro's post-payout threshold at the starting balance, Classic's static overall boundary remains below it. That is why a return to starting balance can leave a valid Propr account while the same description would be inadequate for assessing an E8 withdrawal.
Recalculate from the balance after the account debit, not just from cash received. The post-withdrawal buffer guide gives the general calculation. A valid remaining account still needs the daily test and any open-position conditions checked separately.
Can you use the platform and receive the payment?
| Account | Platform access |
|---|---|
| E8 One | E8 Terminal, E8's own platform, is the only platform for perpetuals: they are not available on MT5, cTrader, TradeLocker or Match Trader. E8's platform article says US clients can use only TradeLocker and Match Trader. |
| E8 Pro | E8 Terminal, E8's own platform, is the only platform for perpetuals: they are not available on MT5, cTrader, TradeLocker or Match Trader. E8's platform article says US clients can use only TradeLocker and Match Trader. |
| Propr Classic 1-Step | Propr's own paper-trading terminal at app.propr.xyz, and its REST API with Python and JavaScript SDKs for automated trading. |
| Account | Account eligibility |
|---|---|
| E8 One | E8 Terminal only. Not available with an identity document from a restricted country (see Who can trade); E8 One is not sold for documents from seven further countries. E8's platform article says US clients can use only TradeLocker and Match Trader. |
| E8 Pro | E8 Terminal only. Not available with an identity document from a restricted country (see Who can trade). E8's platform article says US clients can use only TradeLocker and Match Trader. |
| Propr Classic 1-Step | Propr's terminal or its API. Not available to people from or located in the restricted jurisdictions (see Who can trade); KYC is needed before the funded account. Up to 300,000 USDC of funded accounts and 200,000 USDC of evaluation accounts per trader. |
Confirm the actual platform available to your location before paying. E8's perpetual-only platform statement and its broader US platform wording do not establish a clean affirmative answer for every US buyer. Propr requires identity verification before funded access. Check the current E8 eligibility record or Propr eligibility record, including the receiving route, rather than inferring access from a visible checkout button.
| Account | Published processing statement |
|---|---|
| E8 One | No deadline is promised. E8 gives medians for 1 January to 1 May 2026: 11 hours from request to approval, and 24 hours to the funds arriving in the Rise or WorkMarket account. The process can take up to 5 business days, and payouts are not processed at weekends. The terms of service say payments are processed within 7 days. |
| E8 Pro | No deadline is promised. |
| Propr Classic 1-Step | Processed within 24 hours, says the rulebook; the homepage says payouts settle on-chain in USDC within minutes. |
| Account | Payout processing fees |
|---|---|
| E8 One | None from E8; the payout processor (WorkMarket, Rise or Aeropay) may charge, depending on the option used. |
| E8 Pro | None from E8; the payout processor (WorkMarket, Rise or Aeropay) may charge, depending on the option used. |
| Propr Classic 1-Step | None: no withdrawal fees; payouts are in USDC on-chain. |
E8's published perpetuals payout-method record remains Sources differ. The provider route must be resolved before assuming that you can receive the reward. Propr's payout-method record is separate from the currency used to purchase an evaluation. Neither an account denomination nor a platform's market quote establishes the full payment journey.
The firms' processing statements refer to different endpoints and include qualifications. They do not support a fastest-payout verdict. Follow the payment journey through approval, dispatch, provider or wallet credit, any conversion and final receipt. Preserve the asset, network and fee at each step.
Which differences matter to your plan?
Use the rules above against the method you intend to trade:
| Your requirement | The decisive check |
|---|---|
| Keep overall room after a closed profit | E8 One can raise the threshold at a new closed-balance high. E8 Pro and Propr Classic keep it fixed during trading, with their payout treatment checked separately. |
| Preserve an unusually profitable day | E8 One can delay payout eligibility through its best-day rule. E8 Pro removes daily excess profit. Propr Classic's record has no consistency rule. |
| Trade through scheduled news | E8 One's funded restrictions change the workflow; E8 Pro's perpetual permission retains an interpretation; Propr's permission remains subject to its other rules. |
| Run automation or mirror multiple accounts | Resolve the exact documented conflict and stage. Platform capability and ownership of the accounts do not settle the contractual permission. |
| Leave a chosen amount of profit after withdrawing | E8 One requires its existing threshold to remain covered; E8 Pro retains part of profit through its payout mechanism; Propr uses a full sweep. |
| Keep a position through funding or rollover | Check the charge, current equity, both loss boundaries and event order. Holding permission alone is insufficient. |

Sources, scope and corrections
The account values come from PFW's reviewed records for the three configurations named above. The comparison was read against the current approved release and public account pages on 22 October 2026. Supplemental official-source checks do not change the dates on those data records.
The selection holds the market and nominal tier constant while retaining different account denominations and program settings. It is not a survey of every E8 or Propr route. Prices, rules, published processing estimates and permission labels are not observed trader outcomes.
