Costs

List price

List price: $228 one-time

Conditions and limits. $228 for the $25,000 account at the standard settings, paid once; E8 says the challenge fee is the only cost, and there is no activation fee. The lower price shown beside it needs a discount code.

Official sources: E8 Markets · Futures homepage and account configurator (checked 23 October 2026); E8 Markets · What is E8 Markets? - Why us? (futures) (checked 17 October 2026).

About this rule. The advertised base price of the selected account and how it is billed. A temporary public offer, available without a code, is shown beside it with any conditions the firm states, while a recent check confirms it; codes, optional purchases and unverified buyer charges are excluded.

Evaluation & risk

Opening loss allowance

Opening loss allowance: $1,000

How this is calculated. Opening balance minus the opening total-loss floor.

opening balance
$25,000
opening total-loss floor
$24,000
Result
$1,000

Daily loss limits and any trailing of the floor after the opening are separate rules.

Official source: E8 Markets · Futures homepage and account configurator (checked 22 October 2026).

About this rule. How much the account can lose from its opening balance before the total-loss rule is broken, using the smallest allowance across the required evaluation phases. An account bought without an evaluation uses its funded account's allowance. It is not daily headroom, live capital or a pass probability.

Compare this rule across accounts

Read the guide: How do you calculate the opening loss allowance?

Difficulty ratio

Difficulty ratio: 1.50

How this is calculated. For each required evaluation phase, the profit target divided by that phase's opening loss allowance. The results are added.

profit target
6% of $25,000 = $1,500
opening loss allowance
$1,000
Result
1.50

This describes the shape of the evaluation; it is not a pass probability.

Official source: E8 Markets · Futures homepage and account configurator (checked 22 October 2026).

About this rule. Each required phase's profit target divided by that phase's opening loss allowance, added together. More target per dollar of allowed loss gives a higher number; an account bought without an evaluation has no target, so its ratio is 0. It describes the shape of the evaluation, not the chance of passing.

Evaluation route

Evaluation route: E8 Zero Max $25,000, futures, at the checkout's standard settings (80% payout): one SimFi Challenge phase, then a simulated SimFi Performance account.

Official sources: E8 Markets · Futures homepage and account configurator (checked 20 October 2026); E8 Markets · E8 Zero (Starter and Max) (futures) (checked 17 October 2026); E8 Markets · Is my account Live or Demo? (futures) (checked 17 October 2026).

Profit targets

Profit targets: 6%

Conditions and limits. $1,500 of closed profit in one SimFi Challenge phase, under a 40% best day rule: no single day's profit may be more than 40% of the target ($600); a bigger day raises the profit needed until that day is no more than 40% of the total. The earliest pass is 3 days.

Official source: E8 Markets · Futures homepage and account configurator (checked 22 October 2026).

About this rule. The profit each required evaluation phase must reach, as a share of the opening balance. An account bought without an evaluation has none.

Loss mechanics

Loss mechanics: An end-of-day (EOD) dynamic drawdown of $1,000 below the highest end-of-day balance, updated once a day at market close. In the Challenge it keeps rising with profit and never locks; in the Performance account it locks at the initial balance at the first payout. Equity or balance reaching or falling below it permanently closes the account.

Official sources: E8 Markets · Futures homepage and account configurator (checked 20 October 2026); E8 Markets · E8 Zero (Starter and Max) (futures) (checked 17 October 2026); E8 Markets · EOD Dynamic Drawdown (futures) (checked 17 October 2026); E8 Markets · Payout request from E8 Zero (futures) (checked 17 October 2026).

Minimum days and time limits

Minimum days and time limits: No minimum trading days and no time limit; because of the 40% best day rule, the Challenge takes at least 3 days. At least one trade must be opened and closed every 7 days; after 7 days without, the account is closed.

Official sources: E8 Markets · E8 Zero (Starter and Max) (futures) (checked 17 October 2026); E8 Markets · Is there any inactivity rule? (futures) (checked 17 October 2026).

About this rule. The minimum number of trading or profitable days each evaluation phase requires, including any minimum the firm states a consistency rule sets, any time limit for passing, and any inactivity period after which the account is closed.

Read the guide: What counts as a minimum trading day?

Daily loss and contract limits

Daily loss and contract limits: No daily loss limit in either stage. Contract limits: in the Challenge 3 contracts ($30,000 of margin); in the Performance account 1 contract ($10,000), rising to 2 after 1.5% profit and 3 after 3%, from the next trading day.

At most 4 payouts per account for accounts bought from 1 October 2026, 19:00 UTC+2 (5 for accounts bought earlier); after the fourth the account closes and a free Challenge of the same size follows.

After a payout

After a payout: The payout comes off the balance, and from the first payout the loss level stays at the initial balance, so whatever is left above it is the only buffer. Profit above the cap that stays in the account is a buffer only: it cannot be requested later and does not count toward the next payout, which needs at least $100 of new profit.

E8 gives medians for 1 January to 1 May 2026: 11 hours from request to approval, and 24 hours to the funds arriving in the Rise or WorkMarket account.
